John Chapter 6

“We planned our Offering of Letters to coincide with a sermon on Chapter 6 of John. I preached about physical and spiritual hunger, and put a basket in our narthex where congregants could place their letters. Our young adults were very pleased to see us engaging in social justice issues.”

Getting the Kids Involved

“While parents were writing, we gave the children paper plates printed with, “Dear Senator Schumer, Please vote for the One Spirit campaign! Your friend, ______.’ The kids colored and decorated these plates, adding food illustrations. We mailed these plates along with the parents’ letters. The kids loved being included… even the tiny tykes.”
